Apple Pay is now available as a payment method on Shopify!

Shopify has started rolling out a new feature that enables Apple Pay as a standard payment method at checkout. While some merchants noticed the change earlier, the official announcement came on May 16th.

If you’re using Shopify Payments and already have Apple Pay enabled as an Express checkout option, this update happens automatically. No need to edit your theme or install any apps.

If you don’t see Apple Pay as a payment method yet — but meet all the requirements for Apple Pay, don’t worry. Shopify is rolling this out gradually, so it may take a few more days. Also, keep in mind that Apple Pay is only available on supported devices and browsers.

This is a great step forward for both merchants and customers, making the checkout experience on Shopify even faster and more convenient. Let’s see if Google Pay will follow the same path.
